Our Mission

We encourage artists “to use [their] creative intuition to enter into the heart of the mystery of the Incarnate God and at the same time into the mystery of man.” In this way, we hope to facilitate a springtime of sacred art in each community and throughout the Church.

This website exists to unite and support by highlighting premier Catholic artists, arts organizations, and opportunities.

Our goal, starting locally, is to create a culture within the Church where the saving power of beauty, especially through sacred art is recognized and can flourish, and so enrich the whole life of all the world.

  • Building Community (locally)
  • Forming Sacred Artists
  • Growing a Catholic Culture of Beauty

In creating a Catholic culture attentive to Beauty, we aim to open hearts to the Holy Spirit, to renew the face of the earth.

Our Philosophy

God and Creation

From creation, man is ordered to a supernatural end. The Good, the True and the Beautiful, all express the transcendental nature of God, direct us beyond our immediate perceptions, towards the eternal reality for which we were made. Through beauty, God ignites a desire for Himself in man. Elevating man’s heart, mind, and soul to Heaven, beauty, united to the good and the true, holds an essential role in salvation.

Catholic Culture

At every time and in every place, God draws close to man, calling man to Himself and into the unity of his family, the Church. Responding to this call, artists have been employed to express and support the relationship of the faithful with God and neighbor in a variety of forms. Handed down through generations, a Catholic Culture takes shape, with different arts forms working together to cultivate the human heart towards the Divine. Consistent with the Sacramental Worldview, art has the ability to make perceptible the invisible reality, translating into meaningful terms, that which is in itself ineffable. Transcending all barriers, the arts touch hearts and opening minds to potentially transform the soul. Through beauty, goodness and truth shine forth from every ordered state of being, creating a fertile ground for growth towards God. The Way of Beauty is intrinsic to fully experiencing the faith, inspiring evangelization, and engaging in dialogue.

The Current Situation

For many years now, our cultural heritage of beauty has been abandoned. Traditional standards of beauty are often seen as irrelevant or are directly attacked, ultimately concealing from man what is good and true. Yet, in every age, including today, humanity looks towards works of art to shed light upon its path and its destiny. Witnessing the love of God, made visible in His Son as Redeemer and Savior, artists continue to provide moments of light in our cultural darkness. Humbly turning towards the Holy Spirit, artists offer themselves to direct our fallen world back towards its supernatural end.

United to the Holy Mass

Finally, all of our work is founded in the understanding that “reverence is the fundamental attitude toward being”. Recognizing the Heavenly realities in the Church and Liturgy we strive to uphold the highest standards and decorum for Sacred Art centered on Christ in the Eucharist, the Source and Summit of our faith. Beginning in the incomparable traditions the Church has continuously handed on from Christ we seek to allow the Holy Spirit to inspire and guide us in this mission.
